everyone who requires access will need to submit the on-line application, yes. in principle, there is no set limit on users, but we would of course like to minimize administrative overhead and maintenance (e.g. of accounts and mailing lists) over time. hence, my immediate suggestion would be to be somewhat conservative and ‘slip in’ people on demand.
best wishes, oe

Dear Stephan,
Thanks for giving us access. A question I had is whether everyone on our team who might be interested in these resources (maybe about 3-4 more people including PhD students) should go through the procedure or just myself and Sharid?
Yours,

dear asad and sharid,
first, thanks for your interest in the NLPL associate programme, and
my apologies for the slow response to your query! it arrived at the
start of the summer break, and as folks have returned to the office
these past few weeks, kicking off the new term has kept several of us
busy.
i see that asad at least has obtained access to Abel in the meantime.
there is some emerging documentation on NLPL resources on our wiki;
please see, for example:
http://wiki.nlpl.eu/index.php/Infrastructure/resources
http://wiki.nlpl.eu/index.php/Infrastructure/software/catalogue
http://wiki.nlpl.eu/index.php/Community/training
we will also add you to our very low-traffic ‘users’ mailing list,
where occassional announcements are made. overall, i am afraid there
remains lots of room for improvements in documentation, so your
experience as an ‘outside’ user will be useful and interesting to us!
in response to your request, we have elaborated our invitation to
candidate associate partners, asking for a little background on the
types of computation you expect to run using NLPL resources, software
packages involved, and anticipated resource usage. in general, there
is a technical task force at ‘infrastructure at nlpl.eu<mailto:infrastructure at nlpl.eu>’ that will be
curious to know more about your needs and experiences. so please do
not hesitate to email questions or feedback!
best wishes, oe
