So to have something in writing:

We discussed migration of software and data to Puhti/Saga as an exercise to make NLPL more longer term beyond 2020.

We decided to migrate mostly "the old way" i.e. using the same installation methods used when setting up Abel/Taito, but with more automated approaches like Spack/Conda in mind, to be reconsidered during the upcoming EOSC project.

We decided to create a list of software/data to be migrated.

We decided that Martin requests a NLPL directory on Puhti with 7.8 TB of quota for data and 200 GB for software.

We decided to version use version control for installation scripts, a location is not quite clear yet, options are version.helsinki.fi, Code Refinery and Github.com are options.

Did I miss anything?

Martin

P.S.: version.helsinki.fi says to me: "Sign-in failed because Email domain is not authorized for sign-up." Oh well...
