i am sorry i have taken so long to respond; the question is not quite
trivial :-).
i am adding to this thread the NLPL infrastructure coordinators, which
include our mentor at CSC, martin mathiessen, as well as professor
marco kuhlmann, the NLPL site coordinator at linköping.
when we originally created the NLPL network, we decided that in the
CSC system each participating site should receive sub-allocations
administered through per-site projects (in norway, all NLPL users are
organized through one shared allocation). besides the universities of
helsinki and turku, i believe that currently holds for NLPL partners
in oslo, uppsala, and copenhagen. the university of linköping does
not currently have its own CSC project (i take it) because they were
not part of the original NLPL consortium.
in recent years, we have continued the NLPL partnership under the
EOSC-Nordic umbrella, where helsinki and oslo are formal consortium
members for the NLPL use case in EOSC-Nordic, and we have previously
agreed with both CSC and Sigma2 that our work in EOSC-Nordic is
targeted at the larger NLPL user community, whose experience and
feedback contribute to the NLPL use case.
linköping has joined the NLPL partnership a couple of years ago and
has since enjoyed allocations in the norwegian national system. in my
view, the best way forward will be for marco to request a separate CSC
project and a site-specific sub-allocation for linköping. as i
understand the CSC-internal process, martin has been shepherding
allocation decisions for NLPL partners.
so, to also answer the original question: i advise against adding ali
to the NLPL project for the university of oslo. instead, i suggest
that marco, with support from martin, create their own CSC project. i
am guessing that these are the relevant instructions, where i assume
that linköping qualifies for no-cost access under the NLPL association
in the EOSC-Nordic use case:
