hi artur,

> I am wondering if it’s possible for a master’s student of mine to gain access to Saga (or Puhti) to run some jobs on GPUs. I don’t anticipate him using it often - just for a few simple diagnostic experiments. He won’t be training language models, MT systems, or parsers. If it’s possible, should I have him contact this address directly? Or should he just submit an application to either Puhti or Saga?

i am copying joakim as the UU site coordinator in NLPL.

just now, i am not quite sure what the current status is regarding
Puhti, but UU students are welcome to apply for an account on Saga and
partake in NLPL allocations. we ask that they (like everyone else)
are considerate about scarce resources, for example avoid flooding the
gpu queue with jobs. we should write these down somewhere on the wiki
page, but i believe we have previously suggested that MSc students
limit themselves to at most five jobs in the queue at any given time.

best wishes, oe
