please make it a habit to use the NLPL infrastructure task force (see
Cc:) as your first-line contact address, or at least copy
'infrastructure' on direct email communication with the system
administrators.

i feel a bit puzzled about your current status: it appears there are
two accounts on Abel associated with your name: 'gtang' and
'lisalunde'.  the first of these should have the rights to submit jobs
under the NLPL project (see the attachment), whereas the second should
not.

which account name do you use to connect to Abel?  if 'gtang', it
almost appears as if there is some hiccup in synchronization between
my on-line project manager interface (see attached screenshot) and the
actual user and project database on Abel:

[oe at login-0-0 ~]$ projects -u gtang

i believe the synchronization happens once during the night, so we
might wait until tomorrow and see whether the mismatch persists.  but
i am pretty sure that the only change i have made in the project
manager interface in the past several days was to remove the seemingly
unused association for 'lisalunde' (which neither does sound like a
user that should be attached to your name)?

so, back to thomas, maybe?
