Hi Stephan and all,

Thanks for this interesting link! I have skipped the whole discussion and went to the conclusion and it seems that Spack for package management is a bit like Git for version control, maybe overkill for some use cases, but the hammer for most nails. At least that is my current attitude to Git, I want to use it where possible, not because it is so great or something else might not work, but because I can stick with one tool instead of many.
