i am pretty sure the most specific access level determines my rights: i am
a member of the group owner, so the permissions for others do not apply to.
also, there is no replication of ‘software/’ between Abel and Taito (both
systems back up to NIRD), so i am afraid you will have to adjust
permissions manually on both sides.
